Renowned real estate mogul Brandon Miller, husband of social media influencer and founder of the popular lifestyle blog Mama + Tata, Candice Miller, passed away last week at the age of 43.
Miller was reportedly admitted to a hospital days before his death, but the exact cause remains unproven, according to the New York Post.
Miller is survived by his wife and two young children. His career was marked by significant contributions to the real estate industry, including the development of shopping centers.
He joined his father, Michael Miller, at REEC in 2004 as the head of the acquisitions and financing division. The firm has acquired or developed over 20 million square feet of real estate nationwide.
In recent years, Brandon Miller faced several legal challenges. A 2019 complaint revealed that Miller’s father, who passed away in 2016, had instructed his assistant to forge Brandon’s signature on loan documents for a condo project.

This lawsuit was eventually settled. In 2022, Miller, his mother, and his sister were sued by TD Bank for allegedly making fraudulent payments to prevent the bank from claiming $2.1 million from his mother. Another lawsuit filed in May last year claimed that Miller owed over $55,000 in docking costs to a Hamptons marina in Aquebogue.
Candice Miller, a “notable” socialite in New York City, gained a significant following after co-founding the lifestyle blog Mama + Tata with her sister Jenna Crespi in 2016. She is also the head buyer at Tenet in Southampton and co-founder of the vintage fashion-influenced clothing label Black Iris.
