Two Herders Arraigned in Court for Unlawful Grazing in Ado-Ekiti

Two herders, Musa Haruna, 25, and Saliu Sanusi, 27, appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court on Friday for allegedly engaging in unlawful grazing.

The prosecutor, Inspector Sodiq Adeniyi, informed the court that the defendants unlawfully grazed their cattle on a restricted government land on September 30 at about 10:00 a.m. in Ado-Ekiti.

The charge, according to Adeniyi, violates Section 2 of the Ekiti State Law on the Prohibition of Cattle and Other Ruminants Grazing, 2016, and is punishable under Section 7 of the same law.
