U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a new “Gold Card” program allowing wealthy immigrants indefinite residency in America.
Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump showcased the golden card featuring his image, offering it for $5 million per applicant.
“This could be yours for $5 million,” he told reporters, emphasizing the program’s benefits for high-net-worth individuals globally.
The initiative may replace the existing EB5 investor visa, providing a direct path to U.S. citizenship for select individuals.
Trump also referred to the immigration document as the “Trump Card,” underscoring its exclusivity and economic significance.
According to Trump, the cards will likely be available in less than two weeks for eligible investors and professionals.
The program targets affluent individuals and highly skilled professionals whose sponsors are willing to finance their U.S. residency.
Analysts see this as a strategic move to attract global capital while tightening other immigration pathways into the country.
Trump’s proposal has sparked mixed reactions, with critics questioning its impact on broader immigration policies and economic fairness.
