Residents of the Trademore Estate in the Lugbe District of Abuja have called for Government intervention over the drainage channels leading to the estate and also those leading out of the estate.
This is with regards to the constant flooding and multiple challenges being witnessed during the rainy season. They say a pragmatic approach is needed to combat this Menace.

Speaking to Housing TV Africa, residents of the Estate urged for expansion of waterways and rebuilding of the Bridge in front of the Estate, so as to accommodate the magnitude of water flowing out through the Canal.
Contrary to rumours of death and speculations of damages, residents also played down stories stating that two people were missing as a result of the floods on 24th June 2024. It was stated that though the floods were pervasive, the damages recorded were not of the magnitude reported by most Media.
