The National President, Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, Mr Nathaniel Atebije, has commended President Bola Tinubu on the recent ground breaking of the Renewed Hope Cities in Karsana a suburb of the FCT.
Mr. Atebije who gave the commendation on Thursday while addressing newsmen in Abuja, said the lofty project would benefit Nigerians.
He said the project would enable vulnerable Nigerians own their houses at an affordable rate.
Atebije called for concerted actions against insecurity to relief economic pressure in the country.
He said that Nigerians have been going through a lot of stress and harrowing experience due to security challenges.
Atebije identified the security challenges to include, Boko Haram Terrorists attacks, militancy, armed robbery, banditry, kidnapping for ransom, herders/farmers clashes, cultism and other social vices.
He noted that the challenges causes sleepless nights and have affected food production and economic activities of citizens leading to scarcity, lack and poverty in the land.

He said some Nigerians have recently begun to engage in protests in various parts of the country to cry out in desperation for intervention of government.
Atebije said that the unprecedented rise in prices of commodities have made life so difficult for people requires urgent attention.
“We therefore, call on the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces to tackle the menace of insecurity by enhancing the budget and welfare of the security personnel.
“Also by giving them adequate hardware for combatting insurgency, pragmatically addressing socio-economic problems to minimize poverty, unemployment, inequality, and invest job creation, skills development, education and infrastructure.
