President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced plans to reshuffle his cabinet and has urged his ministers to actively promote the achievements of their ministries.
Speaking during a press conference at the State House in Abuja on Wednesday, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, revealed that while significant progress has been made by the administration, many Nigerians remain unaware of the government’s efforts.
Onanuga explained, “The President has expressed his desire to reshuffle his cabinet, and he will do it. Although no specific timeline has been given, it could happen before October 1st.”

Addressing the performance of the current administration, Onanuga stated that President Tinubu, during the recent Federal Executive Council meeting, instructed ministers to be more visible in the media and to communicate the work being done by their ministries.
“Some ministers have been hesitant to engage with the media, and the President wants them to change that. The government has been doing a lot, but the perception is that not enough is being done. It’s up to the ministers to go out there and share their achievements,” Onanuga added.
The call for more public engagement comes as the government seeks to improve its visibility and transparency with the Nigerian public.
