President Bola Tinubu has approved Dr. Saviour Enyiekere’s appointment as Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission (NASC).
Enyiekere, an environmental specialist, will serve a five-year renewable term as announced by presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga.
He previously served as deputy chief of staff to the Senate President, showcasing extensive experience in legislative administration.
Tinubu also appointed 12 commission members, selecting two representatives from each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

The appointees include Suleiman Othman Hunkuyi and Yusuf A. Yusuf Tabuka from the North West region.
From the North East, Aminu Ibrahim Malle and Alhaji Lawan Maina Mahmud will represent their respective constituencies.
The North Central zone features Mark Hanmation Tersoo and Salihu Umar Agboola Balogun as designated commission members.
Hon. Taiwo Olukemi Oluga and Hon. Afeez Ipeza-Balogun will represent the South West geopolitical zone.
Additionally, Hon. Dr. Nnanna Uzor Kalu and Festus Ifesinachi Odii were also selected from the South West.
Patrick A. Giwa and Mrs. Mary Ekpenyong will represent the South-South region on the National Assembly Service Commission.
