Sanwo-Olu: Over $1bn Invested in Alaro City’s Development

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu praised Alaro City for injecting $1 billion into Lagos’ economy and accelerating industrialization efforts.

During his recent tour of the city, he commended its economic contributions, emphasizing its partnership with the Lagos State Government.

Sanwo-Olu credited President Bola Tinubu for pioneering the Lekki Free Zone, which continues to attract significant investments and infrastructure developments.

Strategic Investments and Infrastructure Growth

Accompanied by government officials, Sanwo-Olu explored Alaro City’s residential and industrial investments, highlighting their economic impact and future potential.

He noted the attraction of 500 residential investors and 80 manufacturing companies, which have collectively created thousands of new jobs.

Reaffirming his commitment to economic expansion, he confirmed plans for the Lekki International Airport near Alaro City’s growing development.

He also mentioned the Green Line Metro project, which will connect Marina to the Lekki Free Zone for improved accessibility.

Visit to Key Industrial Players

Sanwo-Olu visited Ariel Foods, a company producing therapeutic food for malnourished children in various regions across Africa.

He also toured Starium, a detergent manufacturer owned by BUA Group, and TY Logistics Park’s Grade A logistics facility.

At Universal One, a housing developer in the Lekki Free Zone, he inspected newly completed two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Alaro City’s Economic Impact

Frank Mosier, Board Director of Rendeavour, praised the Free Zone scheme for attracting investors to Lagos’ expanding economic landscape.

He acknowledged Lagos State’s role in driving infrastructure projects, including the Lekki Deep Sea Port and upgraded Lekki-Epe Expressway.

Alaro City’s world-class infrastructure includes an eight-lane Alaro Boulevard, a scalable 120 MW power plant, and fiber-optic connectivity.

With rapid growth and investor-friendly policies, Alaro City is positioning Lagos as Africa’s leading economic and industrial powerhouse.
