Former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), has been re-arraigned before Justice Charles Agbaza of the FCT High Court, Abuja, alongside three co-defendants over an alleged N33.2 billion fraud.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is prosecuting Dasuki, Aminu Baba-Kusa, a former NNPC General Manager, and two companies—Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited—on 32 counts of criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of public funds.
The case, which has faced multiple delays since Dasuki’s first arraignment in 2015, was reassigned following changes within the FCT judiciary.

During the hearing, all defendants pleaded not guilty, and their lawyers requested that they continue on existing bail terms, which the court granted. The trial is set to resume on July 1, 2025.
This re-arraignment is part of the EFCC’s broader crackdown on high-profile financial crimes linked to Dasuki’s tenure under former President Goodluck Jonathan.
