The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) has introduced new petrol prices nationwide, effective Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
The pricing varies by location, reflecting the regional differences in distribution and logistics costs.
According to a communication from NNPCL to its various filling stations, the updated prices are as follows:

- Lekki (Lekki1, Lekki2, Idiroko): ₦619 – ₦869
- Badagry: ₦625 – ₦879

- Rivers, Akwa Ibom, South-East: ₦690 – ₦940
- Cross River: ₦683 – ₦933
- Oyo Sites: ₦640 – ₦890
- Osun, Ekiti, Ondo Sites: ₦645 – ₦895

These adjustments come as part of the NNPCL’s regular review of fuel pricing to reflect the current economic conditions, including the cost of fuel distribution across various regions in Nigeria. The new pricing structure highlights the significant price differences between states, especially when comparing urban centers like Lagos and Abuja to more remote areas.
