Retired Army General Killed by Gunmen in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has launched an investigation into the brutal murder of retired Brigadier General Uwem Harold Udokwe of the Nigerian Army.

General Udokwe was murdered by gunmen suspected to be armed robbers in Abuja on Saturday.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT, SP Josephine Adeh, stated that the attack occurred at Sunshine Homes Estate around 3 am on Saturday.

Following the report of the incident, FCT Commissioner of Police CP Benneth C. Igweh ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.

Expressing condolences to the family of the deceased, the CP assured them and the public of swift justice, emphasizing that the perpetrators of this heinous crime would be apprehended and brought to justice.
