Public-Private Partnerships to Drive FG’s 100,000 Housing Units Plan

The Federal Government plans to deliver 100,000 homes in the next decade to bridge Nigeria’s 28 million housing deficit.

Major Investment in Housing

Housing Minister Ahmed Dangiwa announced this at the Renewed Hope Housing Summit in Abuja, emphasizing the role of PPPs.

To meet demand, the government aims to provide 500,000 housing units annually, requiring over N5 trillion in yearly investment.

Dangiwa revealed that the ministry is collaborating with a Consortium of Developers to deliver 100,000 units across key cities.

Ongoing Housing Projects

Construction is already underway for 6,612 units in Abuja, Lagos, and Kano, targeting upper-middle to high-income earners.

Planned projects include apartment buildings, duplexes, terraces, and bungalows in FCT, Lagos, Kano, Maiduguri, Enugu, Port Harcourt, and Nasarawa.
