President Tinubu Appoints New Board Members for Bank of Industry Limited

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new board members for the Bank of Industry Limited, bringing in a team of qualified Nigerians to steer the institution.

In a statement released on Monday by the President’s spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, it was announced that Dr. Mansur Muhtar has been appointed as the Chairman of the board. Dr. Muhtar’s extensive career spans finance, international development, public service, and academia.

He previously served as Minister of Finance, Budget, and Economic Development from 2008 to 2010 and was the Vice-President of Operations at the Islamic Development Bank before this new role.

The President expressed his expectations for the new board to work diligently and in harmony, emphasizing the importance of the Bank of Industry as a development vehicle. The institution is tasked with supporting projects that enhance job creation, poverty alleviation, and the overall socio-economic conditions of Nigerian families.
