Presidency Denies Proposal of N105,000 as New Minimum Wage

The Presidency has refuted claims suggesting that the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, proposed a minimum wage of N105,000.

Following a nationwide strike by organised labour, the Federal Government engaged in negotiations with union leaders, culminating in a deal. Subsequently, the negotiating team briefed President Bola Tinubu, who directed the Finance Minister to present a new minimum wage template within 48 hours.
