Osun State Launches Automated System for Issuing C of O in 45 Days

The Osun State government has introduced an automated system to streamline the process of issuing Certificates of Occupancy (C of O), ensuring applicants receive their certificates within just 45 days.

This new system, launched under the leadership of Governor Ademola Adeleke, aims to address the previous delays in processing land documents in the state.

Honourable George Alabi, the Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, explained that the automation of the survey clearance and C of O processes will improve the efficiency of land transactions. The system ensures that land surveys are free of encumbrances, a necessary step in the C of O process.

“The state governor is set to launch the ‘C of O in 45 Days’ programme before the end of the year,” Alabi said. “All landowners are encouraged to get their land surveys cleared to benefit from this streamlined process.”

He urged landowners with valid surveys to visit the state’s land portal, landsportal.osunstate.gov.ng, to commence the survey clearance process. This improvement is expected to significantly enhance landowners’ access to business loans and other economic benefits, contributing to the overall economic growth of Osun State.

The initiative is seen as a major step toward modernizing land administration in Osun, with the goal of providing landowners faster access to their C of O, facilitating investment opportunities, and boosting the state’s economy.
