Lagos witnessed a night of celebration and transformation as Dr. Chiedu Nweke, Chairman of Periwinkle Empire, marked his birthday with the unveiling of four iconic high-rise developments aimed at reshaping the city’s skyline.

The remarkable event took place at the prestigious The Delborough Lagos, drawing top government officials, business leaders, and industry stakeholders.

The evening was filled with tributes to Dr. Nweke’s contributions to Lagos’ urban development, with dignitaries lauding his commitment to infrastructure, economic growth, and innovation.

In his remarks, Dr. Nweke expressed gratitude to the guests and Lagosians for their support, emphasizing the city’s ambition to become a global urban model.

“This milestone is not just about adding structures to our city; it’s about creating opportunities, enhancing livability, and securing Lagos’ future as Africa’s premier metropolis,” he stated.

In a related development, the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) endorsed Dr. Nweke’s urban transformation efforts, recognizing him as one of the real estate developers that can be trusted to drive sustainable and innovative housing solutions. AIHS emphasized the need for collaboration between public and private sector players to ensure that real estate development meets the growing demands of urbanization in Africa.

The highlight of the evening was the official announcement of four major high-rise projects designed to elevate Lagos’ commercial, residential, and tourism landscape: Pan Atlantis Towers, Eko Atlantic City (14 Floors), Located opposite the U.S. Consulate, this futuristic residential and commercial tower will attract multinational corporations; Atlantis Towers, Victoria Island (Twin Towers, 17 Floors Each), A luxury mixed-use development featuring high-end residences, hotels, and retail spaces beside The Delborough Lagos; Maison Beverly, Eko Atlantic City (7 Floors), An exclusive enclave for 10 elite homeowners in the Avenues District of Eko Atlantic City; Maison Manhattan, Periwinkle Lifestyle Estate, Lekki Phase 1 (17 Floors), the highest hotel residential building in Lekki Phase 1, offering waterfront views and world-class amenities in the “Billionaires Destination.”

These developments are expected to generate over 15,000 jobs and attract billions in investment, reinforcing Lagos as a premier hub for business and luxury living.

The event featured a red carpet reception, cultural performances, and a ceremonial cake-cutting.

HRM Oba Saheed Elegushi Kusenla III of Ikate Kingdom delivered a keynote address, commending Dr. Nweke’s dedication to the city’s transformation.

Guests were treated to previews of the architectural designs, with developers assuring that construction would commence immediately, with completion expected within the next three to five years.

As the night drew to a close, Dr. Nweke reaffirmed his vision for Lagos, urging collaboration between the public and private sectors.

“Tonight, we celebrate not just a birthday, but the birth of a new era for Lagos,” he declared, receiving a standing ovation.

Among the dignitaries present were Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi (Kusenla III), Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ọjájá II), Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, MD/CEO of Fidelity Bank Plc, Labour Party Presidential Candidate in the 2023 general election, Mr. Peter Obi, and other high-profile guests from Nigeria and abroad.
