The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has inaugurated the Sunrise Waterpark in Abuja, developed by Nadeem Group, as part of efforts to boost the city’s tourism sector.
Wike emphasized the FCT Administration’s readiness to provide incentives to investors interested in developing the tourism sector, citing its potential to become one of the country’s highest foreign exchange earners.
Despite this potential, Wike noted that the tourism sector has remained largely untapped and undeveloped. Under the “Renewed Hope” agenda, led by President Bola Tinubu, the administration has prioritized the development of the tourism sector.
Wike called on private investors to explore the tourism sector and harness its full potential for the country’s benefit.
He highlighted various sites in the FCT with tourism potential, including the fishing site in Yaba, the Ushafa Pottery Centre, and the Millennium Tower project, encouraging private investors to breathe new life into these areas.
