The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunshine and haziness from Monday to Wednesday across various parts of the country.
According to NiMet’s weather outlook, the northern region will experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period.
North Central and Southern Region Outlook
In the North Central region, sunny skies with patches of clouds are expected during morning hours each day.
By afternoon and evening, isolated thunderstorms may occur over Kogi, Nasarawa, Niger, Kwara, and the Federal Capital Territory.
In the southern region, cloudy skies with sunshine spells will dominate morning hours, followed by localized thunderstorms in many states.
States like Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Ondo, Edo, Ebonyi, Imo, and Rivers may experience thunderstorms later in the day.
Warnings and Safety Advisory
NiMet advised airline operators to obtain airport-specific weather reports for effective flight planning.
Residents, especially in northern regions, should take precautions against strong winds, respiratory issues, and dust haze.
