Nigeria and U.K. Partner on Civil Service Reforms

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, and the UK’s Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service, Rt. Hon. Simon Case, have pledged to collaborate on advancing civil service reforms in Nigeria.

This commitment emerged from a recent meeting between Walson-Jack and Case at the UK Cabinet Office in London. According to a statement from Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Communications at the Office of the HOCSF, the discussions centered on capacity building, knowledge management, and the enhancement of Nigeria’s Civil Service Week, inspired by the UK’s “Civil Service Live” conference.

Key topics included sharing knowledge and best practices to support Nigeria’s Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan (FCSSIP) 2021-2025. Both parties agreed to explore exchange programs and study tours to facilitate mutual learning and knowledge sharing.
