The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has announced that it will no longer tolerate airlines selling tickets to passengers and then deporting them midway due to visa or travel restrictions.
In a statement signed by Michael Achimugu, NCAA’s director of consumer protection and public affairs, the agency said this practice is causing distress to passengers and damaging Nigeria’s aviation industry.

The NCAA emphasized that airlines are responsible for ensuring passengers meet entry requirements before departure. Effective immediately, violators will face fines, flight suspensions, or other penalties.
Airlines must now provide accurate visa and travel information before issuing tickets.
