The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has praised FMBN’s partnership focused on empowering women.
The collaboration aims to provide accessible housing financing solutions, bridging Nigeria’s gender gap in homeownership through innovative strategies.
During a visit by FMBN’s MD, Shehu Usman Osidi, the minister highlighted housing poverty as a significant barrier for women.
She emphasised that homeownership directly contributes to women’s financial independence, boosting their access to finance and capital.

Sulaiman-Ibrahim stated, “Housing is crucial for women’s financial independence; structured solutions are urgently required for progress.”
Osidi commended the minister’s commitment to development, proposing the Women in Housing model for financial inclusion.
The model involves constructing housing estates where female professionals and artisans handle all aspects of project development.
FMBN’s housing products under the National Housing Fund (NHF) scheme include low-interest mortgages and rent-to-own options.
The minister reaffirmed her vision of increasing female property ownership, vital for women’s long-term economic independence.
