Lagos State Shuts Down Idera Market In Oshod for Violating Environmental Laws

The Lagos State Government has sealed Idera Market in Oshodi for breaching the state’s environmental laws.

The closure was executed on Thursday by the Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) during a routine inspection of markets across the state.

LAGESC’s Corps Marshal, Major Olaniyi Olatunbosun Cole (rtd), announced that the market was shut down due to unsanitary conditions, including indiscriminate waste dumping and unhygienic practices. The market will remain closed indefinitely until further notice.
