The Lagos State Government has called on residents to regularize their land titles, emphasizing the importance of securing their properties through formal applications for proper land ownership documentation.
To promote this initiative, the Lagos State Lands Bureau, led by its Permanent Secretary, Mr. Kamar Olowoshago, and the Director of the Land Regularization Directorate, Olayinka Wasiu, conducted a community awareness program at Akora Villa, Adeniyi Jones.
The program aimed to educate residents on the importance of obtaining legal land titles and the processes involved in land regularization. Speaking at the event, Olowoshago highlighted the benefits of formalizing land ownership, including protection against disputes, increased property value, and access to government development initiatives.
“This initiative is designed to empower residents with the knowledge and tools necessary to secure their properties legally,” Wasiu added. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring that every resident enjoys the full legal rights of land ownership.
The government’s push for land regularization underscores its focus on fostering secure land transactions and promoting sustainable urban development in Lagos State.
