Lagos Court to Probe Alleged Conspiracy and Forgery in Property Dispute Case

The case, bearing the designation LD/23611C/2024, was brought before Justice Sonaike by the Lagos State Government (LASG) represented by Dr. Jide Martins.

The defendants, including Ademola Owolabi, Managing Partner of Ademola Adetokunbo & Co., Adebayo Akeju from Adon Partners law firm, and real estate developer Alex Ochonogor, face a five-count charge.

The charges span from conspiracy to commit forgery to willful damage to property.

The crux of the charges revolves around the alleged forging of a Demolition Notice, among other documents.

The defendants are accused of orchestrating a scheme to dispossess Dr. Obidigwe Eze of his property located at Plot 10, Block 133, Lekki Peninsula Residential Scheme 1, Lagos State. It’s alleged that they forged documents to establish that the property belonged to Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, leading to the demolition of Dr. Eze’s home.

The intricate web of allegations suggests a calculated effort to manipulate property ownership through forged documentation, with implications of willful damage and dispossession.
