The Kwara State Government has ordered all residents to register with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWSRRA) immediately.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq mandated the registration to provide residents with a State Security Identification Number (SSID) and identification card statewide.
In a statement, KWSRRA Press Secretary Abdullahi Baba confirmed that the process is crucial for security and economic planning purposes.
Registration Centers and Government Collaboration
Acting General Manager of KWSRRA, Tajudeen Jimoh, stated that registration is ongoing at 96 centers, with expansion plans underway.
The agency collaborates with ministries such as Education, Tertiary Education, Human Capital Development, Local Government, and Chieftaincy Affairs actively.
They are mobilizing residents through schools, government institutions, and community leaders to ensure widespread participation in the registration process.

SSID Requirement for Government Services
The government has made the SSID number mandatory for accessing education, scholarships, social benefits, and state-owned tertiary institution admissions statewide.
Students registering for common entrance, JSS, SSCE, scholarships, and grants must provide their SSID number and parent’s identification.
New students admitted into state-owned universities or colleges must register as residents before gaining access to educational resources.
Public services, including government benefits, pensions, and social safety programs, will require the SSID number for verification and accessibility purposes.
