The Kebbi State Government signed a memorandum of understanding with MSM Cement Limited to establish a factory producing three million tonnes annually.
Governor Nasir Idris and MSM Cement Ltd Chairman Mu’azzam Mairawani finalized the agreement at the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja on Friday.
Idris assured that his administration would ensure a conducive business environment, emphasizing that the project would generate 45,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Finance Minister Wale Edun highlighted the factory’s strategic border location, positioning it for exports under the African Continental Free Trade Agreement.
This initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies, aiming to enhance investment, boost productivity, create jobs, and reduce poverty.
