Suspended Official Directed to Step Aside for Investigation
A statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, confirmed the suspension, which takes immediate effect.
New Acting Head of Service Appointed
Governor Yusuf appointed Malam Umar Muhammad Jalo, Permanent Secretary of Research, Evaluation, and Policy Analysis, as the new Acting Head of Service.

Jalo will serve in this role pending the outcome of the investigation into the alleged salary discrepancies.
Probe Committee Given Seven-Day Mandate
A seven-member committee, chaired by Hon. Abdulkadir Abdussalam, has been inaugurated to investigate the matter within a week.
This decision aligns with Governor Yusuf’s commitment to holding officials accountable for financial malpractices related to salary payments.
