The Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN) has extended its warm congratulations to Fred Itua on his recent appointment as Chief Press Secretary to Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Governor-Elect of Edo State.
Festus Adebayo, Executive Director of HDAN, expressed strong confidence in Fred Itua’s capacity to serve Edo State effectively in his new role.

Itua’s appointment is the first major role assigned by the incoming administration, with Governor-Elect Okpebholo set to assume office on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
A seasoned journalist with ‘The Sun Newspaper’, Itua brings over 13 years of media experience to the position. He is celebrated for his in-depth reporting on a range of critical issues, from national governance and humanitarian crises to anti-corruption efforts. His notable career includes hosting “Inside The Red Chamber,” an online television show, and co-hosting Bottom Line, a popular radio program.
An accomplished media consultant, writer, and public relations strategist, Itua has established a reputation for his insightful, well-researched narratives that engage audiences and clarify complex topics. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in English from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, a Master’s in Media Arts from the University of Abuja, and is completing a Ph.D. in Development Communication at Veritas University, Abuja.
Adebayo praised Itua’s resourcefulness and expertise in communication strategy, noting that he has built strong networks across government, media, and public sectors.
