The Managing director, GMH Luxury Investment limited, Kuyebi Ayoolanrewaju, has called the ‘De Maris’ Project a game changer for the tourism Industry in Nigeria.
He made this known during an interview with Housing TV Africa on the prospects for Tourism in the Country. This comes ahead of a 3-day exhibition Event set to hold in Abuja from 27th to 29th June, 2024 at Kano hall, Transcorp Hilton , Abuja. The event is also to feature the official unveiling of ‘De Maris’ Resort, a 5-acre development in the Ilashe area of Lagos State, valued at N15 billion.
Ayoolanrewaju explained that the Tourism and hospitality industry in Nigeria remains a low-hanging fruit in the bid to turn around the economic woes of the Country. He further added that in line with the Company’s vision to maintain standards and innovate, the Project upon completion, will complete with world class resorts in Zanzibar, Mykonos and other popular destinations across the world.
With a projected revenue value of over 50 million dollars, the CEO added that the Resort will not only boost the industry in Lagos, but Nigeria at large. This event aims to attract major stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Members of the National Assembly, mortgage banks, and real estate developers, among others.

A similar exhibition is scheduled to take place in Lagos on June 21st, 2024. These exhibitions serve as avenues for the company to further its vision of becoming Africa’s fastest-growing, most efficient, and client-oriented real estate development firm, consistently delivering value to all stakeholders.
