Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt along with his family and security details.
A close source confirmed that Fubara left the seat of power on Wednesday morning, though security remains sparse at the premises. However, two Armoured Personnel Carriers stationed on Tuesday night are still in place with a handful of operatives on duty.

Meanwhile, Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas (retd.), the sole administrator appointed by President Bola Tinubu to oversee Rivers State for the next six months, had yet to assume office as of 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday.
Preparations for Ibas’ arrival were observed at the Government House, with around 15 soldiers stationed within the premises ahead of his expected takeover.
