Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has commended Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri for five years of outstanding leadership.
Speaking at the inauguration of a Commissioners’ Quarters and a dual carriageway, Fintiri praised Diri’s commitment to infrastructure development across Bayelsa State.
He stated that leaders who prioritize infrastructure investments demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving the welfare and well-being of the people.
“Anyone who provides infrastructure serves the greatest number of people,” Fintiri noted while emphasizing Governor Diri’s impact on Bayelsa’s overall development.

He acknowledged the significant transformation of Yenagoa, congratulating Bayelsa residents on the progress achieved under Governor Diri’s administration.
Fintiri added that despite Bayelsa’s difficult terrain, Governor Diri had successfully implemented projects benefiting residents and strengthening the ruling party.
Governor Diri, in his response, appreciated the cooperation of Onopa and Amarata host communities, which enabled smooth project execution statewide.
“For any city to grow, it must be properly planned,” Governor Diri emphasized while highlighting his administration’s urban development strategy.
He directed Lubrik Construction Company to extend the road linking the Tombia-Airport Road, ensuring improved accessibility before year-end.
Commissioner for Lands and Survey Perepuighe Biewari described the housing project as a significant milestone supporting economic and infrastructural growth.
Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Moses Teibowei highlighted the city’s development plan, designed to accelerate structured housing expansion efforts statewide.
“The 2.1 km dual carriageway will improve movement, enhance aesthetics, and attract economic growth,” Teibowei stated regarding the newly completed project.
He expressed confidence that the infrastructure project would enhance security, facilitate mobility, and contribute to Bayelsa’s long-term economic development.
