The Federal Government’s commitment to establishing 24 skills and innovation hubs and entrepreneurship centers across Nigeria was reiterated by President Bola Tinubu during the Children’s Day celebration in Abuja.
The President, represented by Minister of State for FCT, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, emphasized transformative policies aimed at creating a conducive learning environment nationwide.
President Tinubu highlighted key initiatives, including the National Education Data System, skills development programs for all education levels, and digital skills training for teachers.

He also announced plans to inaugurate private sector Innovation Enterprise Centers for skills acquisition. Additionally, 91 vocational centers will be built in secondary schools to ensure policy impact at all education levels.
Collaboration with state Commissioners of Women Affairs, Ministries of Education, SUBEB, and CSOs is underway to enhance quality education and skills development. Minister of Women Affairs, Mrs. Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye, assured children of the government’s commitment to protecting their rights, echoing President Tinubu’s stance on ensuring the welfare of the Nigerian child.
