The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced plans to utilize technology for transparent land administration to enhance service delivery.
The newly appointed FCT Director of Land Administration, Tpl Ekarikpong Ukpannah, made this known as he assumed office at No. 4, Peace Drive, Central Business District, Abuja.
Ukpannah emphasized the importance of technology in addressing challenges in land administration and management, particularly in a modern city like Abuja. He pledged to build upon the foundation laid by the outgoing Director, Tpl Adamu Jibrin Hussaini, and highlighted the significance of technology in ensuring efficiency, transparency, and reliable land administration procedures.
The new Director assured that he is not on a witch-hunt but is committed to carrying out his duties to the best of his abilities. He promised to maintain an open-door policy and welcomed suggestions from all staff members. Ukpannah commended the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for the opportunity to serve and pledged to work towards the realization of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’ as envisioned by Minister Wike.

He called on all staff of the Department to support the FCT Administration under Nyesom Wike to achieve the government’s objectives for the benefit of FCT residents.
In his remarks, outgoing Director Tpl Adamu Jibrin Hussaini expressed confidence in Ukpannah’s competence and urged him to build on the achievements of the Department. He cited the repositioning of the Department and the restoration of order to its operations as some of the accomplishments during his tenure.

The ceremony was attended by the Secretary of the FCT Civil Service Commission, Mallam Umar Sanda Kuso.
