The Department of Development Control, Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), has undertaken the demolition of unauthorized parks at Apo Zone E, Gudu District, Abuja.
In addition, the department dismantled an illegal structure developed on a designated green area within the district, citing violations of regulations governing the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
During the operation, the Director of the Department, Mr. Mukhtar Galadima, emphasized that the demolished structures were erected without government approval. He highlighted the importance of adhering to the Abuja Master Plan, which prioritizes orderly development and environmental preservation.
Galadima was accompanied by officials from the Department of Parks and Recreation, who reiterated the commitment to maintaining the integrity of Abuja’s urban planning framework.
The action underscores the FCTA’s zero tolerance for illegal developments and its dedication to ensuring compliance with planning standards across the Federal Capital Territory.
