The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced that the Wuye/Wuse Flyover project is nearing completion, with 85 per cent progress and an expected inauguration in May.
During an inspection of the project in Abuja on Saturday, Mr. Wike expressed satisfaction with the ongoing work on the flyover, as well as the development of the vice-president’s residence and the 11-kilometre six-lane dual carriage expressway linking the Airport Expressway to Kuje.
Mr. Wike emphasized the transformative impact of the completed road from Kuje to the Airport Expressway, anticipating significant economic growth and development in the area upon its completion.
Commending the contractors, including Arab Contractors and Julius Berger, for their dedication, Mr. Wike reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the timely delivery of projects in the FCT. He highlighted the inclusion of these projects in the FCT’s 2024 statutory budget to ensure adequate funding and prevent abandonment.

Additionally, Mr. Wike visited the vice-president’s residence, also being handled by Julius Berger, noting progress in electrical installations and expressing optimism about its completion by May.
The minister’s assurance underscores the FCT administration’s commitment to infrastructure development and its role in fostering economic prosperity and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
