The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation (SEOF) has pledged N200 million to the Borno State government to support flood victims in Maiduguri following the collapse of the Alau Dam along the Ngadda River.
This generous donation was announced after a high-profile visit by SEOF delegates, led by retired AIG Chris Ezike and Anambra Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, to assess the disaster’s impact.
In addition to the monetary support, the foundation donated units of Maama Kits and 20 Midwifery kits worth N38 million, aimed at addressing the immediate needs of affected families.

“The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation is dedicated to empowering the vulnerable and stands in solidarity with the people of Borno during this challenging time. Our commitment goes beyond material support; it’s a message of hope,” said Ezike.
Governor Soludo expressed deep sympathy for the victims, highlighting the inspiring resilience of the Borno community. “Together, we will overcome this adversity and build a stronger future,” he stated.

The delegation also visited key locations, including the Palace of the Shehu of Borno and the Bakasi camp, one of the largest IDP camps in the state, to better understand the needs of the affected population.
