EFCC, CAC Strengthen Collaboration to Fight Corruption

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) have pledged deeper collaboration to combat corruption effectively.

This partnership aims to curb fraudulent activities, promote business integrity, and establish a stable economic environment for sustainable national development in Nigeria.

Following a courtesy visit by EFCC Chairman Olanipekun Olukoyede, the agencies reaffirmed their commitment to transparency, regulatory compliance, and economic growth stimulation.

Olukoyede expressed gratitude to CAC for prompt support, emphasizing the importance of cooperation in achieving their shared anti-corruption mandate.

“We will leverage anti-corruption efforts to stimulate economic growth, attract investors, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory guidelines,” Olukoyede stated.

Registrar-General Hussaini Magaji welcomed the collaboration, highlighting its role in strengthening information-sharing and supporting Nigeria’s economic transformation agenda.

Magaji also revealed CAC’s AI-driven company registration system, designed to streamline processes and enhance efficiency for business owners.

“Our objective is to complete company registration within one hour, aligning with global best practices and international standards,” he said.

The meeting, attended by key EFCC and CAC officials, underscored their joint commitment to fostering transparency and financial integrity.
