The Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC (EEDC) has announced a total system collapse in the South East region, affecting supply to Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States.
Emeka Ezeh, the Head of Corporate Communications, revealed in a statement that the collapse occurred at 2:41 am on April 15, 2024, leading to a loss of supply to all interface TCN stations.
Efforts are being made to resolve the situation, with supply gradually being restored at the Awada TCN station in Onitsha.

The EEDC is in communication with relevant authorities, awaiting full restoration of supply by the National Control Centre (NCC) in Osogbo.
The EEDC expressed appreciation for the understanding and cooperation of its customers during this period.
