The Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, launched the Nigeria Customs Service CSR program, urging Nigerian youths to stay.
Speaking in Abuja, he assured citizens that economic conditions are improving, with inflation, fuel prices, and exchange rates stabilizing.
Edun stated that those who previously left the country would return due to President Tinubu’s leadership and economic improvements.
The “Customs Cares” initiative, introduced by Comptroller-General Adewale Adeniyi, focuses on education, health, food security, and environmental sustainability.

Projects under the program include scholarships, school renovations, borehole installations, and skill acquisition programs for underprivileged Nigerian communities.
The initiative will be funded through a four percent deduction from customs officers’ salaries and voluntary individual contributions nationwide.
Education Minister, Dr. Tunji Alausa, advised Customs Service to collaborate with schools and state governments for project alignment.
The program will be rolled out across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, ensuring targeted interventions in underserved local communities.
