Edo State to Launch 521-Unit Housing Estate in Ekpoma

The Edo State Development and Property Corporation (ESDPC) has partnered with Maximpact Global Ventures Limited to develop a 521-unit housing estate in Ekpoma, named Esan Garden City Estate.

This initiative aligns with Governor Godwin Obaseki’s mission to boost the state’s real estate sector by spearheading affordable housing schemes in various cities.

John Zedomi, ESDPC Managing Director, announced that the project will commence soon, marking the corporation’s first development outside the Edo South Senatorial District. He stated, “This is our first major project outside Edo South. We expect the firm to deliver 100 units in the first phase by the end of 2024. This project will open up possibilities, attract investments, and foster infrastructure development, creating jobs in the local community.”

The estate aims to provide affordable housing for civil servants and low-income earners in the Edo Central Senatorial District, following the successful offtake of the Emotan Gardens Estate in Benin City. These projects are designed to stimulate the state’s real estate sector, which continues to grow through various reforms.
