Two engineers from the Delta State Government are facing disciplinary action for certifying uncompleted projects and enabling contractors to receive payments. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori announced this on Sunday, stressing that his administration will not tolerate such actions.
The governor assured that the engineers’ cases would be handled according to due process, reinforcing the state’s commitment to transparency and accountability in managing government projects.
Oborevwori also expressed disappointment in the engineers’ actions, pointing out that civil servants must uphold ethical standards. He highlighted the support his administration has provided, including transport allowances, promotion arrears, and the payment of the new National Minimum Wage.
The governor further congratulated Mrs. Joy Emuesiri Enwa on her successful retirement, praising her contributions to the state, while Rt. Rev’d Kingsley Obuh urged public servants to leave behind a legacy of integrity and honor.
