The Aliko Dangote Foundation has announced the 2025 Annual National Food Intervention Project, valued at N16 billion, to support one million vulnerable Nigerians nationwide.
Chairman Aliko Dangote, represented by his daughter Marya Aliko-Dangote, unveiled the initiative during the inaugural ceremony in Kano.
He emphasized that the program aligns with the foundation’s commitment to compassion, solidarity, and shared responsibility in addressing Nigeria’s economic challenges.
Key Highlights of the Initiative

- One million bags of 10kg rice will be distributed across 774 Local Councils to reach those most in need.
- State-level collaboration will ensure equitable food distribution to vulnerable populations.
- The foundation’s broader efforts include hunger relief, water supply, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.
Dangote urged industrialists and firms to join in combating hunger, stressing the need for public-private partnerships to complement government efforts in addressing the food crisis.
This initiative reaffirms the foundation’s commitment to improving livelihoods and reducing poverty across Nigeria.
