China to Trump: Gaza Belongs to Palestinians, Not the U.S.

China has strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump over his threat to remove the people of Gaza from their homeland.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun denounced the remarks during a news conference, stating that Trump was overstepping his boundaries as Gaza is not part of the United States.

“Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people. It is an inalienable part of Palestine’s territory, not a bargaining chip for political games,” Jiakun asserted.

He emphasized that Palestine should not become a victim of power politics, adding that the war has already inflicted devastation and suffering on Gaza. He urged major global powers to focus on humanitarian assistance and reconstruction rather than worsening the crisis.

Reaffirming China’s support for Palestinian sovereignty, Jiakun stressed that the governance of Palestine must remain in Palestinian hands and opposed any attempt at forced displacement of Gaza’s residents.

China, he stated, remains committed to working towards a two-state solution, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
