AIHS 2024: UK Department of Trade and Investment to Send 20-Member Delegation, Host Side Event

The UK Department of Trade and Investment will host a dinner for leading real estate stakeholders in Africa at the end of the first day of the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS) on July 22, 2024, at the Velodrome, National Stadium, Abuja.

In addition, the department will send a 20-member delegation to the event, aiming to further foster the relationship between Africa and the UK while driving investment into the real estate sector.

This was disclosed during an exclusive interview with Festus Adebayo, the coordinator of the Africa International Housing Show who on behalf of the board and management of AIHS, the largest housing event in Africa, extended an invitation to all professional bodies and stakeholders to its 18th edition, which will be held from July 22 to 27, 2024.

Adebayo emphasized, “This year’s event is unique, and that is why you need to be a part of it. We have a collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development as a co-organizer.”

Adebayo further highlighted that AIHS 2024 will see participation from no fewer than 15 countries with a target of about 20 international speakers.. “In fact, the United Kingdom Department of Trade and Investment will be hosting the leading stakeholders in the housing and construction industry in Africa to a dinner at the end of the first day of AIHS 2024. This is a platform you have to be for the development of your business.”

His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Kashim Shettima, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will declare the ceremony open.

Nigeria’s Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa who also is the chief Host of AIHS 2024 will receive the UK delegation in his office for a brief interactive meeting on how to foster relationship between Nigeria and the UK on housing, before proceeding for the side event.
Adebayo added, “If you really want growth in your business and some foreign partnership, I will be waiting to receive you at the event.”

Running for 17 years, AIHS has established itself as a prime destination for global and local stakeholders, building and construction companies, mortgage companies, public agencies, private corporations, and home seekers to learn, network, exhibit, and conduct business.
