In recent developments, it has been revealed that the land allocated to Praco International Limited, a real estate firm, in Abuja was done without proper approval.

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), disclosed that there was no minister in the FCT during the period when the land was allocated to the estate developers.

Wike stated that he had instructed the estate developers to halt construction on the site until a final decision was made.

According to Wike, despite his instructions, the developers proceeded to fence the land and even allocated it to buyers.

The minister expressed frustration at the actions of the estate developers, accusing them of being uncooperative and disregarding the directive to cease activities on the land until a final decision was reached.

The situation escalated further as the estate developers took legal action against Wike, who claimed to be unaware of the lawsuit. Wike emphasized that the allocation of the land took place when there was no minister in the FCT, and he had sought advice from external solicitors to address the matter impartially.

The ongoing dispute highlights the challenges surrounding land allocation and development in the FCT, underscoring the need for transparency and adherence to due process in such matters.
