Police operatives in Jigawa State have apprehended two individuals in connection with the killing of a former Managing Director of the state’s Housing Authority, Abubakar Babangida.
The arrests were made following the murder of Babangida and another person by suspected bandits on March 7 in Warwade Village, Birnin Kudu local government area.
Jigawa State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Tijjani Abdullahi, revealed this development during a press briefing at the command’s headquarters in Dutse.

The suspects, aged 18 and 20, were found in possession of incriminating items such as two AK 47 rifles, four magazines, 68 rounds of live ammunition, and a leg chain. Additionally, a motorcycle, five SIM cards, eight headsets, batteries, an ECOWAS passport, and N221,510.00 were also recovered from them.
Investigations unveiled that the seized arms were utilized in a robbery that resulted in the loss of three lives in Birnin Kudu. The suspects were apprehended by law enforcement officers with the assistance of a vigilance group at Dangoli Funali Camp.
