FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has revealed that the Abuja Rail Mass Transit (ARMT) project has reached 95% completion and is on track for inauguration in May.
He made this known during a visit by the Belgian Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Daniel Bertrand, in Abuja.
The project, aimed at improving public transportation in the federal capital, has been a priority for the administration. Wike highlighted the importance of the rail system in decongesting the city and providing a convenient mode of transportation for residents.
President Bola Tinubu’s directive to expedite the project’s completion has been instrumental in pushing the progress forward. The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is handling the project and is close to completing the work.
