The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, on Saturday conducted an inspection of two critical road construction projects within the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), reinforcing his administration’s drive to extend development to the FCT’s satellite towns.
The projects under review included the 10.5-kilometre Kabusa/Ketti road, connecting Kabusa, Pyakasa, and Ketti districts, as well as the 9.8-kilometre Kabusa/Takushara road, which links Kabusa with Takushara and Wasa districts.
Wike emphasized the importance of spreading infrastructural development beyond the city centre, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s vision of inclusive growth.
“We’ve visited Ketti and assessed the road from Kabusa to Takushara. Mr President has always maintained that development should not be limited to the cities. We must take it to the satellite towns,” Wike stated.
He noted the enthusiastic reception from residents, especially in the densely populated Ketti community, as a clear indicator of how impactful such projects are in improving lives and boosting local connectivity.
