Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of various infrastructure projects currently underway across Abuja.
Speaking after a tour of several ongoing projects on Monday, Wike highlighted the renovation works at the Abuja International Conference Centre (AICC) and the expansion of Obafemi Awolowo Way from Life Camp Junction to Ring Road III as examples of the administration’s commitment to quality delivery.

The minister also visited the developing road network in Gishiri village, Katampe District, and assessed the N16 Interchange project at NICON Junction, which aims to improve connectivity between Maitama, Katampe, and Wole Soyinka Way.
Wike noted that the 2025 FCT Statutory Budget has been formally submitted to the National Assembly. He added that once lawmakers return from recess, the budget would be presented for defense.
He praised the execution of the current fiscal year’s spending, revealing that the 2024 FCT budget has reached approximately 95% implementation—an indication, he said, of improved governance and performance within the territory
