…Only Credible, Approved Real Estate Companies Will Be Allowed to Exhibit at Africa’s Largest Housing Show

As preparations intensify for the 19th edition of the Africa International Housing Show (AIHS), the Convener of the event, Festus Adebayo, has issued a strong warning to all intending exhibitors stating that only real estate companies with proper approvals and credibility for their projects will be accepted.

Speaking ahead of the flagship event scheduled for July 27 to August 1, 2025, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, Adebayo emphasized the show’s commitment to integrity, transparency, and consumer protection.

“This year, we are raising the bar. AIHS will not accept any real estate company or project that lacks the necessary regulatory approvals or has questionable credibility. Our platform is for developers who uphold professionalism, have verified projects, and are committed to ethical practices in the housing industry,” he said.

Over the years, AIHS has grown into the continent’s most trusted housing and construction event, drawing participation from global investors, policymakers, home seekers, and over 400 exhibitors annually.

Adebayo said the show has built a reputation for excellence and cannot afford to be associated with fraudulent or misleading property offers.

“AIHS will not be a marketplace for dubious developers or land grabbers. We are working with housing regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance before granting exhibition approval to any real estate company,” he added.

To further reinforce this policy, AIHS 2025 will screen all developers and projects before admission. Exhibitors will be required to present evidence of title documents, government approvals, and track record of delivery. Companies that fail to meet these requirements will not be granted space at the exhibition.

This year’s event is themed: “Re-imagining Housing – Overcoming Challenges to Opportunities Through Innovation, Collaboration and Policy” and will feature keynote sessions, exhibitions, panel discussions, and interactive forums with global housing experts.

Thousands of participants from over 21 countries, including government officials, investors, and professional bodies, are expected to attend.

AIHS 2025 is also introducing new attractions like youths and realtors day, games, giveaways, housing finance clinics, and virtual property tours, while maintaining its core goal of facilitating access to affordable, quality, and secure housing.

“AIHS is more than just a show. It’s a movement to rebuild trust in the housing sector and give the people the confidence to invest safely. We are taking a firm stand to protect home seekers and investors,” Adebayo added.
